Reflections for February
As we enter into the month of February with the celebration of St.Valentine’s Day, it is the perfect time to embrace the profound power that is love. Love . . . the greatest commandment . . . the essence of the Divine . . . the expression of the Christ Light . . . the way we link heaven and earth in, through and as us. Love is the most powerful energy on earth and all the realms.
The words of Emmet Fox remind us of this: “There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer; No disease that enough love will not heal; No door that enough love will not open; No gulf that enough love will not bridge; No wall that enough love will not throw down; No sin that enough love will not redeem . . . It makes no difference how deeply seated may be the trouble; How hopeless the outlook; How muddled the tangle; How great the mistake. A sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all . . . If only you could love enough, you would be the happiest and most powerful being in the world.”
May you open to be a channel to express and to receive love in all its forms . . . patience, kindness, compassion, gentleness, selflessness, endurance, courage, hope and grace . . . to name but a few. The power of love is transcendent. It transcends time and space, outer appearances and relationships, judgments and expectations.
I Corinthians 13 contains the most famous and treasured passage ever written on love. It was crafted by St. Paul who found the transcendent power of love amid a life of challenges and blessings. It reminds us that love “bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.” For love is the greatest spiritual energy.
Love is ever present with us but it is also a Sacred Mystery. This powerful Scripture ends with a reminder that experiencing love calls us into transcendent realms of understanding. We remember that “For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known. And now faith, hope and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.”
May you open to give and receive love more consciously than ever before . . . and may you be in-filled with Divine Presence and Christ Light in all areas of your life.
