Ishaya Ascension – David & Teresa Goldsmith’s home – 1st and 3rd Mondays

David Goldsmith, Unity’s Phoenix Prayer Circle Coordinator welcomes everyone to join in prayer and meditation twice monthly. Come at 7:30 to settle in and visit in preparation for sitting in the silence for 40 minutes amid kindred souls. We also hold in Light all the prayers entrusted to Unity during that sacred time. The Ishaya Ascension technique focuses on praise, gratitude and love. It allows one to meditate with eyes open while engaging with the world as well as to settle into the silence within. Ishaya teachers are willing to come to teach this spiritual practice, so let David know if you’re interested. Yogananda & Ananda - Azaya Center (1441 F Street) – Every Monday

The Port Townsend Ananda Meditation Group meets every Monday night at 7:00 P. M. at the Azaya Wellness Center, 1441 "F" Street, Port Townsend. We are open to receive new people at all times, and anyone who wants to learn to meditate can arrive for the "short course" at 6:45 P. M. each week. We chant, meditate for 30 minutes, and have healing prayers, sharing tea and a few bites to eat at the end. We usually finish up by about 8:30. We focus on Paramahansa Yoganada and his teachings as a pathway to the one universal Most Relishable Spirit. Occasionally we have a special Saturday Night kirtan or other special gathering; we know that some people are not free on Monday. Right now our group is all adults, but we warmly invite teenagers to participate as well. Her over thirty years of study and practice with ACIM brings rich experience and deep support. All are welcome to join . . . previous ACIM students and those new to this material. Jill at Phoenix Rising will have the ACIM texts – you’ll want the Combined Volume edition with the Text, Workbook for Students, and Manual for Teachers. The thread of Gnostic ideas, associated with the Grail legends, have been traced from their pre-Christian origins through the time of Christ and into the 12th. century culture of southern France as evidenced by the Cathars and their spiritual philosophy of amor. The mythologist Joseph Campbell and the Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung have stated the Grail legends form one of the most important myths of western European culture .

This class will attempt to shine light on the enigma of the Grail story by investigating its Celtic origins, Christian expressions and alchemical influences. Nine Grail legends will be considered as we follow this esoteric story. Considered heretical by the church and life giving and affirming by its adherents, why does this myth persist in capturing the imagination of contemporary seekers after more than 800 years from its introduction?
